On March 18th, 2022, were the Finals of the 50th Edition of the Amir Cup in Qatar and Ticketmaster was selected by QFA to ticket the event.
The Qatar Football Association, after extending its long-term partnership with Ticketmaster, had to organize the Amir Cup finals in the Khalifa International Stadium for its 50th Edition.
Khalifa International Stadium, which will host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ soon, is one of the most famous sporting venues in the region, having witnessed some unforgettable moments and tournaments such as the 2011 AFC Asian Cup and FIFA Club World Cup 2020, which we are proud to say that we supported with our state of the art technology, as well.
Government restrictions, due to COVID-19, didn’t allow to have Khalifa International Stadium at full capacity but instead, only 75% of the stadium could be filled with fans for the Amir Cup.
Ticketmaster’s approach proved to be the solution in complying with the local authorities’ guidelines for safety. With our social distance tools and access control, QFA was able to manage, in a short notice, how many fans entered the stadium to watch Al Duhail against Al Gharafa.
